Called The Banner Saga: Warbands, it is described as a 'miniatures board game' that is based on 's tactical role-playing franchise.

While no details about the board game have been released yet, Stoic is planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project.
Created by former BioWare designers, The Banner Saga debuted in early 2014 on PC.
The game was then made available via iOS and Android devices, with ports still planned for PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita.
A sequel is also in the works but won't arrive until later this year at the earliest.
