Britain's Got Talent: David Walliams sends Lorraine Bowen through to the live semi-finals

has decided to send 53-year-old singer-songwriter Lorraine Bowen straight to the live semi-finals with a touch of his Golden Buzzer.

Despite receiving three buzzes from the rest of the judges, Walliams enjoyed Lorraine's rendition of 'The Crumble Song' enough to want to see the piano teacher perform on the show again.

Simon Cowell may have buzzed the act before she could even say "crumble", but Walliams' decision to see the act through paid off, resulting in a very happy - and a very entertained - audience cheering Lorraine along through mash ups, DJ headphones and a falsetto finish.

Even Ant & Dec couldn't resist a little sing-along backstage.

"Listen to the people, Simon," Walliams urged his fellow judge as the applause for Lorraine's act continued before he pushed his Golden Buzzer and added: "All I'm goin! g to say is that it doesn't matter what they think!"

While the audience seemed happy with the turn of events, the judges appeared to be a little more shocked at the decision - and Cowell was more than a little frustrated with the choice.

"What is your problem?" Cowell asked the comedian.

"I don't have a problem," Walliams countered. "She was very entertaining, and that is a very catchy song!"

Lorraine joins fellow Golden Buzzer acts Calum Scott, Boyband, Revelation Avenue and Entity Allstars.
