Raising eyebrows: Amal Clooney was ravishing in red for the Met Gala on Monday but made a controversial choice by enlisting disgraced fashion designer John Galliano to create the look
The picture attracted some criticism from social media users about the British-Lebanese activist supporting Galliano after he was found guilty of making anti-Semitic remarks.
Early in 2011, Dior announced they had suspended the Italian-British designer following his arrest over an alleged racist tirade at a Paris bar.
In France it is illegal to express anti-Semitic ideas and he was put on trial the same year.
