Leto is the latest actor to take on the character of the supervillain, who was first introduced into the DC Comics world in Batman #1 on April 25, 1940.

Leto previously teased the reveal of his Joker makeover on Snapchat, while Ayer also shared an image of earlier this month.
Suicide Squad will star Will Smith, Viola Davis, Jay Hernandez, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara and Cara Delevingne.
It centres around a group of DC Comics villains - among them Deadshot, Harley Quinn, the Joker and Captain Boomerang - who are dispatched on a government-sanctioned mission of redemption.
Suicide Squad will open in cinemas in August 2016.
