Mo Farah's wife Tania announces they are expecting a third baby

Mo Farah's wife Tania has announced that she's expecting the double Olympic gold medallist's third child.

The couple have something to celebrate after revealing the baby news on social media and expressing their delight.

Tania, 27, who is the mother of his two-year-old twin daughters Aisha and Amani, shared a picture of her baby bump on Instagram and the runner reposted the snap to his 169,000 followers.

Wearing a figure-hugging grey dress, Tania looked glowing as she posed for the picture in designer sunglasses. 

She posted the image with the caption: 'Gained a bit of weight this summer! Looking forward to the next one #Farahbabyontheway.'

The couple have been married for five years and Mo is stepfather to Tania's nine-year-old daughter Rhianna.

Relaxing holiday: Mo was in high spirits as he enjoyed time off before defending his titles at the World Championships in Beijing later this month

Hundreds of fans wished the couple well after they announced the news on Friday.

It comes as welcome news for Mo after the recent stress of doping allegations against his Cuban-born coach Alberto Salazar. 

The athlete was questioned for five hours last week by the anti-doping lawyer who brought down drugs cheat La! nce Armstrong.

B! ut Mo looked in high spirits on Saturday as he enjoyed time off before defending his 5,000m and 10,000m titles at the World Championships in Beijing later this month. 

The 32-year-old also put the off-track issues behind him as he cruised to victory in the Anniversary Games last month.

Farah took to Instagram to post a picture of him swimming under water alongside a caption which read: 'Yeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!'

Last month, Farah was cheered to the rafters by the Olympic Stadium crowd as he won his first race in Great Britain since the doping allegations engulfing his coach surfaced in imperious fashion.

The double Olympic champion, back at the venue where he claimed his most famous victories, received a rousing reception from the moment he took to the track for the 3,000 metres to crossing the line in seven minutes 34.66 seconds.

Mo was voted Celebrity Dad of the Year in 2013 and said at the time that he was continually 'learning'.

Speaking at the time he said: 'I train to be an athlete but there is no training to be a dad and I'm learning all the time.

'This award shows I must doing something right, which is a real confidence boost!'

His wife has also spoken about the challenges of bringing up young twins and an older daughter, when their father is away for up to half a year.

She told how much he misses the children when he is away train! ing and competing and how manages to keep in touch by Skype, o! ften overcoming 11-hour time differences to stay in regular contact. 

This week UK Athletics said they had found no evidence of wrongdoing by Mo in the initial findings of its probe into ­allegations against Salazar.
