According to Deadline, the Heroes actress will reprise her role as Claire Redfield, with the story picking up after the events of 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution.

She will appear alongside Milla Jovovich, who has played Alice since the first movie was released in 2002, and her on-screen brother Chris Redfield, portrayed by Wentworth Miller.
The trio are set to begin shooting Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in South Africa from September, as they take on the villainous Red Queen.
Jovovich's husband Paul WS Anderson is also back in the director seat using his own movie script.
The Resident Evil franchise has been one of the most successful game-to-movie adaptations ever, grossing more than $915 million worldwide.
